Good to know: the PDF tools run on your phone and work offline. Google Sign-In, Premium billing and Scan to PDF need an internet connection.

01Merge PDFs

  1. Open Merge PDFFrom the Home screen, tap Merge PDF under Create and combine.
  2. Choose your filesSelect two or more PDFs from your phone.
  3. Set the orderDrag the files into the order you want them to appear.
  4. SaveTap save. The merged file is created on your device.

02Sign a document

  1. Open Sign PDFTap Sign PDF and choose the document.
  2. Add your signatureDraw a new signature, or pick one you've saved before.
  3. Place itMove and resize the signature on the page where it belongs.
  4. Save a copyYour original stays untouched and a signed copy is saved.

For quick approval marks on each page, use Add Initials. To type into form fields, use Fill Form.

03Scan to PDF

  1. Start a scanTap Scan in the bottom bar, or Scan to PDF on the Home screen.
  2. Capture pagesPoint your camera at the document. Edges are detected automatically, and you can add as many pages as you need.
  3. Adjust and saveCrop or retake pages if needed, then save everything as one PDF.

Scanning uses Google ML Kit document scanning and needs an internet connection.

04Upgrade to Premium

  1. Open the Premium screenTap the Premium banner on the Home screen, or open it from Settings.
  2. Choose Monthly PremiumPremium costs R50 a month.
  3. Confirm in Google PlayComplete checkout with your Google Play payment method. Premium is unlocked straight away.

Premium gives you unlimited actions, files up to 200 MB and no ads. See the plan comparison for details.

05Cancel or manage a subscription

Subscriptions are billed and managed by Google Play, so cancelling happens there.

  1. Open Google PlayTap your profile picture in the top-right corner.
  2. Go to Payments & subscriptionsThen tap Subscriptions.
  3. Choose Avelix PDFTap Cancel subscription and follow the prompts.

Premium stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for. You can also open Account in the app for a shortcut to this screen.

06Restore purchases

Moved to a new phone, or reinstalled the app? Sign in with the same Google account you used to subscribe, then open Premium in Settings. Google Play restores active subscriptions automatically.

07App lock

  1. Open SettingsTap Settings in the bottom bar.
  2. Turn on App lockChoose to unlock with your fingerprint, face or device PIN or pattern.

The lock is asked for when the app starts. Switching to another app and back doesn't lock it again.

08Common questions

Are my files uploaded to the cloud?

No. Standard PDF tools such as merge, split, sign and watermark run locally on your phone. Your files aren't uploaded to our servers for those features.

What are the free plan limits?

The free plan includes 5 conversions or edits a day, files up to 50 MB and clean exports, and shows ads. See the plan comparison.

Can I use the app offline?

Yes. Viewing, merging, signing, watermarking and most other tools work offline. Google Sign-In, Premium billing and Scan to PDF need a connection.

How do I delete my account?

Follow the steps on the account and data deletion page to request removal of your account and associated data.
